Fusion

Nuclear Fusion can be an energy source of the long-term future. Todays fusion research reactors require large amount of RF power to heat up the fusion plasma. In those reactors very long pulse RF generation over some 10s is required by a very low overall duty factor due to the very long repetition periodes in the range of several minutes. This requires amplifiers with reduced cooling requirements but full DC supply to stabilize the amplification gain over long pulse ON-times.

Cryoelectra has developed several amplifiers for the demands of today's fusion experiments in the hig and very high power regime and is in touch with teams working on the most challenging next generation fusion projects.
